Breath Centered Yoga

Will the real Yoga please stand up?

Looking for a yoga class today can be super confusing. We have so many brands and styles, each emphasizing something different. Some classes say they’re for flexibility, others for strengthening, others for achieving a “flow”. Some seem to be for focusing the mind, and still others for achieving a state of bliss. And that’s just mentioning a few!

And, by the way, all of those qualities can be aspects of a good yoga practice. So where's the real Yoga?

According to Sri Krishnamacharya, yoga should be tailored to the individual, and centered around the breath. A skillful practice reflects your age, your level of fitness and health, your cultural background, and even your values. So yoga is not meant to be imposed on you. Yoga should help you to embody your unique presence in this world.

Sri Krishnamacharya taught five simple but necessary principles of yoga as the foundation for a practice that helps you see more clearly - and feel more deeply - what it means to be You. That’s it! Five simple but important yoga principles.

My mission is to transmit these principles to everyone interested in starting or deepening their practice. Once firmly established, these five principles can be the foundation for taking on any yoga method or style. However, they are best applied in your own, daily self-practice.
